,...that's brilliant. I'll have to try that.

And if my washer doesn't have one of those tall agitator thingies, do I still need to strip it? How would I go about doing that with an HE machine?

That's pretty much what I do too. I do a quick wash with extra rinse first, no spin. Then I do a quick wash with soap and an extra rinse. Once a week I've been doing an extra 2 rinses in case of buildup.

I think I read once on here to use a little tto. But idk exactly how you'd do it. My washer is front load so I don't have an agitator either.

And also random question, do you guys use vinegar or something every wash?

I do. I do a soak in my washer with no spin for like half an hour with vinegar. But smurf, don't listen to me. I can't keep my diapers clean and now every single pocket diaper I own is leaking.

Awwe   I wonder if certain fabrics are worse for repelling and having buildup?

I don't do a bunch of extra rinses. I have a top loader he. Took a few weeks to get use to my new machine but it's a simple routine now.

I don't know. I think it's because my parents use liquid fabric softener in their washer and dryer sheets in their dryer. I'm really bitter about it right now, because my grandma bought them their washer since they PROMISED to pay her back, and now they won't. But they gets pissy when we use it.

I have heard you can just get a damp cloth and wipe the inside of your dryer.

I'll try that. Cause I don't think just using a free and clear soap should make my dipes smell like fresh laundry haha.

Quoting FaithLovesPussyCats:" I've been thinking your name was Amy this whole time."

I think a lot of people do lol. It's a Doctor Who reference. There were 2 characters, Amy, and Rory and they were married. They are so similar to our personalities we'd joke that my husband is my Rory and I'm his Amy. So hence I'm his Amy, he's my Rory. And that's why I picked Rory's name. The character reminds me soooo much of my husband and every time I think about him it just makes my heart happy because I can imagine my husband doing the same things he always did for Amy. So we named our son Rory

I use Downy on my regular laundry and don't get repelling issues. No dryer sheets though.
