Thank you so much..I went back to the first page of this one (vol 4) and my head started swimming. I talked to a few friends and think Im going to start slow, with 5 diapers, 10 inserts, snaps, aio. Does that sound like a good place to start?

To be honest, i'd go with either fitteds & covers, pockets, or prefolds laid in a cover  

Prefolds/trifolds + a few covers would be your cheapest option, you can wipe out covers & re use if they arent soiled so you dont need lots - theyre also not high maintenance to wash   - if you put a microfleece liner in they'll stay dry against bubs skin too.

Fitteds + covers are what ive heard majority of people love  .. you dont always need to use a cover if you change fairly often. (ive got a bunch of these ordered to try)

Pockets are great because you can customise absorbency and come apart for thorough washing/quick drying.

Maybe grab a couple of each & see what you like best before getting tons.

I love pockets, but i honestly think im going to love fitteds also..

AIO to me is a bad idea.. i like quick drying diapers without absorbency sewn in so they wash cleaner & dry quicker.

Her work is beautiful. They're my fave. Plus she's really sweet too. But I haven't used the OS ones yet but the NB ones are smaller than the others I have. But I had a small baby so it works. But I know I won't get as much use out of them. She added preemie snaps for me but my preemie didn't end up being preemie size haha

Eta: idk about the pocket dipe issues cause I use ai2s. But the a12 haven't had a problem that I've noticed.

I had the same issue, except i ordered mine without inserts & couldnt fit my alva or doopsy inserts in!  

I squashed one in & it bunched up, and was too long for the pocket.

So disappointed.

Her quality/sewing was impeccable though & her cute little NB diapers look great.

Ive been eying her NB diapers up  

I usually have 6lb babes so i think they'll fit great because i found her sizing on the smaller side.

So far i love hers & squishy butts re: quality, but squishys sizing is better for my big bubs once theyre not NB

I guess I really dont know what the difference is between a fitted, prefold versus what I think Im getting. I dont want to spam the page, but a friend ordered these for her daughter, and I was thinking of trying them.

Oh those are pocket diapers mama  

Stay dry against bubs skin, waterproof (they have PUL in them) and you stuff the insert into the pocket and remove it to wash.

Me and a few other mamas on here love them.. their fit is great and if you have any issues with the diapers they're quick to fix the problem.

Yeah mine was 6 lb 7 oz. got down to 5 lb 12 oz and last we'd was up to 6 lb 8 oz. they fit her perfect now. She is on the second to biggest waist snap and the smallest leg snap (sometimes I leave it undone).

Im excited to try squishys in NB as well.

I've only used them once my bubs are bigger.. late to CD with both.

Im the same, i wash daily when i CD because i never have enough to leave it 2 days.

Now that im going to have 2 in cloth i've got more diapers ordered, but will still have to wash daily.

Oh well, at least they dont sit around  

Hopefully i'll build my stash up enough so i can go 2 days max and have extras incase of upset tummys.

I recommend watching this youtuber.... she has a really comprehensive list of cloth diaper vlogs that explain the basics as well as some specific questions. Hope it helps!

I dont make my own, i'm not crafty at all and would rather pay a WAHM like sabrina to do it for me  

At least i know it'll work properly and fit my diapers etc LOL
