A smart shopper always researches!! I got screwed a few times when I first started cd'ing because I didn't look into retail prices.

That's what I thought too. I only considered them because they were boy prints lol  

DH asked again what i wanted for valentines.... is replying with 'more diapers' a crappy answer?... excuse the pun haha!!

 

Id seriously love to get some snapless OS fitteds or snapless OS fitted hybrids and a couple more covers to add to the boys stash.

Her diapers are awesome  .. ive ordered packman/dr seuss from her before.. my only disappointment was her OSFM sized really small compared to my alvas & LO couldnt fit them.

Im sorry to intrude upon any conversations, but I am hoping to get some quick, easy, and total NEWB advice on CDing.
My daughter is a big 8 month old who for the last 3 months has been having a bad diaper rash. It doesnt look like yeast or anything related to a 'typical' rash. I think she is allergic or sensitive to the elastic in the disposables. So I need some advice on where to start. Obviously I dont want to spend 1000s on 100 diapers, when Im not sure if this will solve her problem.
*What is a relatively cheap complete diaper?
*What is a PUL?
*Are all water-proof?
*How many would be 'ideal' to start with? She has 5-6 diapers a day, not a heavy wetter, but a massive pooper. Being breastfed, she poops a large, runny amount.
*What soap do you use?
*Are co-ops a good idea?

to answer your questions without info overload..

1. prefolds & covers are probably the cheapest option.
2. PUL is a waterproof backed fabric - diaper covers, pockets, aio, a12 have that to stop the diaper leaking out onto clothes
3. not all are waterproof, fitteds/prefolds you need a cover for.
4. depends how often you want to wash .. if you wash every 2 days you'll need 12 diapers plus about 3 or so for wash time.
5. planet ark aware - i know a lot use country save.
4. i dont do co-ops.. if something goes wrong with the diaper i dont think they have to rectify the issue like a manufacturer/WAHM most likely would.

I had one from her a looong time ago. Really well made but the pocket was too narrow. The insert it came with didn't even fit in, lol.
Based on what some others have said she's widened that but I've been too broke to try a new one, hehe.
