I'm trying this, my stupid machine leaves them sicky still. i just did quick wash hot with extra rinse no soap.
hot wash with extra rinse soap
hot wash with extra rinse
hot wash with extra rinse
boil them for 30 min.
rinse them by hand (now I've got smurfing blisters)

and they still feel sticky!!!! i really hope they are not stinky when she pees.

Fitteds vs pockets.

If you prefer fitteds over pockets can you explain why? & do you use/prefer sized or osfm fitteds?

Ive only ever used pockets - my thinking is i can boost absorbency and dont need to get a diaper + cover on wriggly babies.

Ive just ordered 25 pockets & am already planning on getting some fitteds..

Talk me into it mamas lol!!!

I think each style can have its time and place. Personally LOVE fitteds but I also love pockets just as much. During the summer I can throw a pair of wool shorties over a fitted and call it a day. No more clothing needed besides a shirt, and even that can be optional. It's also more breathable than a pocket would be during the hotter months. Also, people have great success using fitteds at night when they can't find a pocket to work. Also, they can take abuse more than a pocket can. If I need to use diaper cream I can easily wash the fitted on extra hot or boil the snap in soaker.

It just hit me it's been 4 months since I have been able to cloth a baby   I want to cloth diaper a child again!!! Oh, and I FINALLY got an order today that I placed before he potty trained   Maybe that's why I am so sad about this tonight.

I think OS because they last longer and a good, trim fitted it won't matter. My Squishy OS fitteds were super trim.

I remember when i was destashing (DS outgrew alvababy colour snaps - which were our entire stash basically) .. i ordered some XL OSFM squishies & they arrived just as i'd finished destashing.

I'd just found out i was pregnant again and couldnt afford a new stash of XL OSFM squishies because i had to buy the new baby bedroom furniture etc & was devastated!

I ended up selling them and was SO sad LOL!!!

They sat in DS' drawer for a good month before i could part with them... and i only parted with them because DH nagged me haha!

I don't put covers on Squishy fitteds at home. Plus like Moses said they take abuse. Also in a cover there's less chance of wicking with the 2 separate pieces.

I think fitteds/covers will be good for me to use.. pockets for DH.

I certainly don't HATE it, but he also only goes through about 5 diapers a day. HOWEVER I do dislike that he poops in every damn one of those.

Do you wait for the outside to feel a little damp or just change before then?

Dang kid pooped once or twice a day in sposies. Back in cloth its been like 4 times a day!
