re: Cloth Diapers Rock, Bitches! Vol. 4

Does anyone use the alvababy 3 layer bamboo inserts or 4 layer bamboo inserts for extra boosting at night etc?

If you do, how have you found them?

Do they hold much & are they nice & thin?

That's how I've always been with lylian too. She's such a daddy's girl I just don't feel an amazing connection with her. I hope Scarlytt is a mamas girl. I can't have two kids that I feel hate me  

I started cloth wipes yesterday when I finally got the ambition to find the baby wash clothes. It's sooooo much easier.

Question..

If you were to boost/double stuff pockets for night time (for a heavy wetter) would you prefer to add an insert with..

A. 3 layers of 100% bamboo
B. 2 layers of 80% bamboo - 20% polyester + 2 layers MF

Im thinking the bamboo to add to our squishies for night (alvababy) but arent 100% sure... hmmm.

i wanted to share what i made for my dd today!!! it's going to be a night time diper since i made it super absorbent. I went through 2 needles(they kept breaking off)   i think my viking got smurfed up 

anywho it's not perfect. it's my first diaper. so any suggestion would be great!!!

it's cute! Did you put a layer of PUL under the blanket layer? If not it'll probably leak...

lol no i didn't i wanted to try it to see if i can actually pull it off. i kinda did. lol but i'm going to be using covers. where on earth do i buy pull fabric??? and damn velcro.

haha oh yeah! using a cover with it would work. I forget about that. lol
I've bought some at JOANN'S, here they have a whole cloth diaper making little mini section.
otherwise you can order it online. I've found it on Amazon, Etsy, just googling. I pretty much just buy the plain white PUL at JOANN'S, and use it as a layer under a cotton outer because there's just better prints in cotton and flannel.

yes!! great idea!....do you think it has to be PUL?? i saw the other day a plastic roll. but it was made for sewing. like what you put on top of chairs if you dont want the fabric getting wet. do you think that would work??

I think it all depends on the flexibility of the fabric. Like PUL is originally used in hospitals, but it's so flexible that it works perfect for diapers. I would imagine the PUL may actually be cheaper, though. At JOANN'S it's around $15/yd, but I think online you can find it as cheap as $8/yard if you search hard enough.
