i seriously need to strip my pre folds and flip covers. they don't smell at all when coming out of the washer, but when she pees. omg it's so nasty it smells like extremely strong amonia.  now i heard you can strip them with dawn dish soap. i only have the green one would that work? and has anybody bought any RLR at a store? if so wich one??

Your covers probably don't have an issue. They might, but the smell is probably from buildup on your prefolds. Stripping those is easy. What I would do is a hot wash with a small squirt of blue dawn (don't use the green) and then boil them until there are no suds or smells.
I have never seen RLR at a store. Maybe a local crunchy mom/baby shop if you have one. We have a few here and I think one carries it. I got mine online and forgot to use it last time I stripped lol.

ill try to look for the blue one. or run to the store to get it. the weird thing is i have to inserts for my cocalo diapers. they have always been washed with my prefolds. they don't have a stink. just my prefolds.

You can usually tell by the names haha. They're typically family owned, small shops with tons of awesome stuff in em. Two I can think of around here are Granola Babies and Belly Sprout...you can kinda tell they're natural/crunchy stores.
I got a small bottle of blue dawn for like a buck at Walmart. And I've stripped like 3/4 times since we started CDing so the bottle is more than half full. The cocalo inserts are thinner than the prefolds, they rinse cleaner because they are trifolded.

okay i found the blue dawn dish soap!! so what do i do?? do i just squirt it in there?? or measrue it?

ohh by the way...i'm in love with the cocalo diapers!! they scrape off the poo so much better than the stupid prefolds. and are not bulky...sights...i just wish they weren't so damn pricey.

Woot Woot!! I ordered my rental today. Found out I can switch our truck insurance and pay less than HALF a month for the exact same coverage, so we don't have to give up diapers!!!

UGH CD is not looking like it is going to save me ANY money lol.
Im getting addicted and now I want to buy WAHM hybrid fitteds. And I already have more than enough diapers.

The 4 alvas I have are leaking bad. Not in the leg area but in front by the buttons. I dried them on high heat like someone suggested awhile back but it didn't help. Any other suggestions before I label them duds?

Are the inserts pushed all the way up? I keep mine unbutton when I stuff then rebutton. When I didn't that happened a few times.

Same here. It lasted three wears before he could take it off and put it on his head. LOL

The inserts were all the way up. I don't have them unbottoned when stuffing though. I will try that next time
