Doing some serious lurking on this car seat chat... The words"three across"are magnetic to me lol. Aubrey needs a new narrow car seat. She's outgrown her convertible in DH truck, which means he gets the one out of my car and Mumma gets to find a new pretty one

Yeah. It can't RF without hitting the back of the front seats because it's so tall. In order to make that not happen neither of us could fit behind the steering wheel properly (and we ranged 5'3" to 5'6") and had our knees shoved up in the dash paneling and the steering wheel way too close and practically on top of the dash on the passenger side. It's overall width was fine though. I would have required something underneath it though because the bottom had the same issue as the Radian in my seat. I was considering the monkey one for RJ because he's close to outgrowing the height in his Coccoro.

In the brief shot of the top of the carseat and the front seat they are touching and the carseat safety place here said there must be at least an inch between the carseat back and the seat in front. That's my fit issue with most seats in our vehicles and the most common thing I see wrong with kids in their seats. DF has Recaro seats in his SUV and they barely fit RF with the proper spacing between. And his is a larger vehicle. So I just don't understand how people manage to install them in their cars properly.

My friend has two Radians RF in a Toyota Avalon. They don't fit properly. The carseat backs are smashed into the front seats and not sitting at the proper angles. And I know I had virtually no leg room in the front seat at all.

That's what the carseat people said about all carseats? Or specific ones? It definitely depends on the seat and your vehicle whether or not bracing is allowed.

They said all of them because there is no leeway for vehicle compression and seat shifting without them hitting into each other if they are already touching. I was told that makes it like the carseat slamming into a wall or that it rums the risk of the front seat flipping it forward into the seat back its facing.

That's what I was told, well, actually I was told they could be touching, so long as it wasn't pushing against it. Which, even with it moved an inch forward, the foonf in the video still gives way more room than most convertible seats. That's my biggest issue with seats and why I was planning on getting a Coccori with our next until I saw how space efficient the Foonf was, and it would obviously last a lot longer than the Coccori would. I would also be spending considerably less, even if the seat is $400. It would be a seat that lasts without needing to be replaced until a booster is required.

I thought my Coccoro would last me until booster stage too, but my kid decided to become a giant and so far Brighton is right on pace to do the same. LOL
