I wouldn't do that even with my giant kid. I'm starting to explore my options for a high back with a harness in it because I'm sure by fall he will have outgrown his FF seat.

He was like 3 years old and MAYBE 22lbs and had already been in it a while.

That's too small for no harness. My 21-month-old is at least 36 inches (haven't measured since his 18-month appointment) and right about 23 pounds. He's skinny, but very tall so he outgrows the height in things much more quickly than he ever would the weight requirement. From my looking so far, most high back boosters start at 34 inches so he'd fit them, but he still needs the real car seat for awhile first. Today we went to Toys R Us to look at Power Wheels cars and the toddler ones up to 3 years were way too small for him and he barely fit in one that was for 3-5. LOL

If you can afford it try the Radian. I know it can harness until at LEAST 44"

It doesn't fit in my car. The bottom rocks and tips sideways.

Have you tried it with an angle adjuster? It's a foam pad it's made to sit on.

It's not a front to back issue, it's on the sides. My car has "contoured" seats so they aren't flat all the way across. It's made it a bit more difficult getting a model that fits fine without hitting weird. The Combi Coccoro is an absolute perfect fit in my car both front and rear facing. Unfortunately, it only goes to 40 inches and my kid is so darn tall he's almost there already. In the literature it was supposed to fit to 4 years, 40 lb, 40 in so I figured it was perfect until booster time. My kid just decided to grow abnormally tall so early. LOL

The angle adjuster may still help though. You can sinch it down harder and the foam would help conform to your seat maybe?

Does your store carry the Radian? There's not a single retailer in my entire STATE that carries them. We have to order online.

I believe that's where I tried it in my car. I also tried seats at another store as well. One of them carried it.

And since I live just outside of Portland there are dozens of stores to go to for stuff including 6 cloth diapering stores, or at least there were. One went out of business last year.

Huntsville has 2 or 3 baby stores that carry cloth. They carry BGs, thirsties & bummies. Walmart carries those gdiapers & prefolds but that's it I think
