Mine is still holding on to his, and he turned 3 weeks yesterday. It's like the incredible hulk of belly buttons ...

That is what the co op fee is for. Technically it goes towards supplies though. Or should anyway. It is a co op, it is not a business. If you want, tip your host. I typically tip $2 or so if I feel comfortable in doing so. I don't want to be tipping without realizing it. Co op's are not to make money, they are to help mothers buy in a shared buy to save money. That is it. Not to help a host buy a new phone, or buy a new something or the other.

I think I was recommended through babycenter, if I remember right. I had a lot of people tell me how great hers was, how it was the best. I was actually removed from the group at one point, no rhyme or reason, and I was never given an explanation. Just added back after I asked. I had an open order, looking back I should have just walked away then. I thought my initial issues were a fluke, but in Novemberish I started noticing a lot more. Have you ever looked at the missing items doc? I should have a long time ago. Lots of people have good experiences, so she'll keep getting recommended I am sure.

I wasn't talking about making a ton of money off of it. But if I were going to spend all the time and energy on it, I'd like to have 5 dollars or so at the end. But I'd make it know that part of the co-op fee was compensating me for my time, I would add money to the price of diapers and not tell anyone.

ETA Oops, meant that I *wouldn't* add the the price and not say anything.

Ok as I said DS cord fell off this morning and I started him on CD but he has diaper rash that has proven tough to get rid of. I don't have any CD safe diaper cream or extra virgin coconut oil (i have just regular coconut oil). Should I keep disposables on him until the diaper rash is gone or until I can buy something CD safe (won't be for another week)?

Take a receiving blanket, cut it up as a barrier between babe and diaper and you're good to go. Or even use a receiving diaper as a flat and a cover. Then you can throw em out or use as a spit rag when done.

Well yeah, I mean that is a given. A buy with 100 people at 2 a person is going to leave you with a bit extra for your time and such. But nothing to go crazy on, kwim? And that is honesty, the co op fee. Adding to the price isn't. I have also seen fees so inflated the host walks away with over a grand in fees. Which to me, is insane lol. But, more power to people who will pay $10 in co op fees LOL
