Quoting Sabrina~SquishyButts:" you can use raw/ virgin coconut oil, you can use CJ's BUTTer, Grandma El's, California Baby from Target. ... [snip!] ... If you're unsure if you can use it or not, just throw a good liner in there to keep the cream from gettting on your diapers."

I have Grandma Els as my samples.. I just was LTB from a store instead of having to go through a website or one or our CD stores around here. So target has a brand I can use?

Also, do any of you wash your diapers with your clothes? If so what detergent do you recommend.. I live in an apt so we pay to do laundry so right now I am washing with my bumgenius detergent with my girls clothes which says its safe but i'm trying to find a cloth safe deteregent meant for clothes as well if that makes sense lol

I wouldn't wash em with clothes. Too much in there won't get the dipes clean enough (you dont even want the washer to be completely full of just dipes). When we lived in an apartment I either washed em at my moms house or if I couldn't I did the pre-rin in my bathtub, paid to was em with detergent, paid to wash with no detergent, then rinsed by hand again.

I used to wash with my regular clothes, but you have to make sure and pull them out before everything goes into the dryer, and rinse a bit extra. Thats why I always suggest for people who use laundromats to use prefolds or flats, or hybrids with the detachable insert that can be boiled, as it will cut down on your laundry bill. You can wash with your regular clothes if you HAVE to, but then you can boil the soakers on the side to get the rest of the soap out. Even if you use cloth safe detergent, you still want to rinse a few extra times after it's wash, which you don't do with the clothes, since it's okay if they have a little buildup, they won't hurt you.

Target has the California baby stuff, but you can also go to a local health food store and look for raw virgin coconut oil, unrefined. It works great too.

Officially jinxed myself... Complained about Aubrey drinking two ounces of breastmilk out of the fridge, well I just had a four ounce bottle on the counter I was going to put in a bag to freeze... I dumped the whole bottle over while I was searching for a marker. Dammit.

I use chubby mamas magic butt balm, but it's not cheap, it's like &17 for eight ounces.

I wouldn't wash your clothes with diapers. It will take up washing space from your diapers, and washing diapers is typically on heavy duty and hot. Not somehting you'd want to do clothes in. Well, maybe, I don't personally anyway. I wash my clothes in Country Save when I can find it local. Otherwise Honest Company or Eco's. All of which are cloth safe. Eco's can be found at Wal Mart and Costco and I *think* Sams.

Okay thanks   any ideas? It's not a rash really, it's just bright red and he screams when we wipe him. We've been using coconut oil regularly for a week because his little hole was bleeding, his doctor said to keep it most. But now his cheeks are all bight red
