I was wondering that as well... unless I stand next to the machine for a few minutes I'm most likely going to forget to add the other thing to the wash

Yeah and front loaders are so diff than top ones.   its hard. One thing I read on one website said add a white towel to the wash to raise the water level. Maybe that'll help?

I wouldn't do that, that just adds another thing to clean to take away from the diapers. I always did a quick double rinse, then did another rinse with no spin. That way all of my diapers were sopping wet, and when I started the long cycle, my machine would weigh it as a full load.

I have a top loader, and I do a presoak with baking soda, then hot wash with detergent, then hot rinse with vinegar, then cold rinse every time I wash.

When I strip, which isn't often, I do the baking soda presoak, then hot wash with enough dawn to create bubbles, then hot rinse until all the bubbles are gone.

Someone in here recommended it, I think it was Brianne, or maybe Nicco. IDR now, but it works really really well.

Quoting **Jen:" I do a cold prerinse, warm wash with soap and 2 cold rinse for the diapers, same with the pullups but hot wash instead of warm. Should I do more?"
It depends on what works for you. You might be using too much soap or have hard water, if you have smelly pullups after only a month

Quoting Faith1LovesMLP:" How does everyone's SO/DH feel about cloth diapering? My mom and grandma won't change DD's diaper because ... [snip!] ... hard'. Even my pockets, they say they can't figure out how to get it on   even though I've showed them a million times."

BD changes them fine. I had to show him like 20 times before he got it right. My mom can change her too, but she leaves it too lose and then blames the cloth diaper for the leak, when it's user error. So when my mom babysits I take a washable marker and color the snaps that need to be snapped haha. Comes right off in the wash
Nobody else changes her. They're all scared haha.

Same here. It's amazing how much I've saved in 10 months since we switched! I don't feel bad buying new ones this way hahaha

Wash them with a little squirt of blue dawn dish soap and run 8-10 hot wash cycles, or until you see no more suds.

The marker thing is brilliant haha!! I'll use that if anyone can't figure it out. Are they just afraid to go too tight?

My mom has come around too. I got a couple packages yesterday and she said "Are there any new diapers?"   And there were so I showed her and she said they're cute and stuff. Then Brooklyn grabbed em and ran around showing everyone and screaming LOL.
And my mom comments on how cute/pretty they are

I think it's pretty smart too   Hahah but yeah, they were afraid to do it too tight. So I showed my mother the snap settings and turned B around so that she could see that there was plenty of space in the back and around the legs.
