The kind I have,I paid $17 for with shipping, it's an eight oz jar. If that helps compare to what others are selling for

I think for testing it out, you should only charge shipping. Maybe shipping and supplies.

I'd be just fine with that while I'm still trying to figure out how well it works.

Random quote. But got the bar before leaving town and have been able to use it. Seems to work. Only thing is its a bit hard to rub right on her bum. Ive taken lil pieces off and kinda mushed between my fingers then put on her   But shes got bad runs again and burned acid booty   this is helping take the edge off it!

I noticed it gets a little crumbly if the room isn't really warm, I'm going to try to make the next batch a little softer. I'm glad it's helping, even though it's just a little. Thanks for the feedback!

Thats what I was thinking. First try was straight from the car and it was freezing outside. So I tried again after being inside a few hours. But my moms house isn't exactly warm haha. Ya her poor poor bum.

How does everyone's SO/DH feel about cloth diapering? My mom and grandma won't change DD's diaper because it's 'too hard'. Even my pockets, they say they can't figure out how to get it on   even though I've showed them a million times.

Mine isn't completely sold on it. We still keep disposables in the house (I use them at night), and even though he will put cloth in her,I feel like he really only does it for the last diaper or two before I get home from work. He really doesn't like poopy dipes and says he keeps her in disposables until she poops. I bought him the bamboo viscose liners from alva and still no real change. He's been out of work for a few months so I try to stress the fact that the cloth diapers cost us nothing, and when I do laundry, I say, see, this load of diapers saved us $4. (lol I have it figured out that every disposable we put on her butt costs us $.25)

At least he's trying, right? I can see why it would be frustrating though. I'm going to start doing that, every time I wash diapers I'll write down how much we saved and add it up at the end of the month. Maybe that will convince my parents that CDing isn't expensive.

Sam is one of those do what I decide about parenting kinda guys. He may questions me but he knows I don't make parenting decisions for fun and I do a lot o research. At first when I started buying them and he saw how expensive it was he kind of freaked. But when I explained it more and we talked about it he supports it now. He gets dressed about money but knows its a Long term investment and not gonna just last a month but years. So he doesn't complain. My mom doesn't care. She's very open minded too.

He does try lol and when I'm home on the weekend, he will put them on her all the time since I'm here to deal with them too. He really likes the minky ones, so I ordered six of them for him. It's so funny, he uses all the minky ones first. I never make him do diaper laundry either but he will help me hang them up from time to time, especially now that I'm huge and pregnant.

He does it all just fine. Stuffs at bedtime, rinses, flushes poop. I showed him twice and he's done just fine. My mo is very happy with it but tends to screw it up so he leaks, sooo I kind of just take disposables over if he's there without me lol. My father will even do it if he has him, and he is the "I already did my diaper duty for 15 years so I refuse now" kind of person lol.

I think I'll do the keeping track of diapers usedtides to compare to sposies prices. This will help show people how much we've saved

I'm going to start today and at the end of the week I'll post how much I've saved. I know I've already broken even, so now its pure savings.

I was wondering if anyone can give me a little advice on stripping microfiber inserts. Mine don't seem to be absorbing as well as they used to so I think it's probably time to strip. I have quite a few and I don't have very big pots so boiling probably isn't a good option for me, and I'm not sure how my MIL would feel about me boiling diapers in her pots   (we live with her). Don't think the covers are a problem so I just want to strip inserts this time. Thanks in advance for any help
