re: Cloth Diapers Rock, Bitches! Vol. 4

So I just consulted with the neonatologist and she sai she will ask her supervisor about cding in the nicu. She didn't sound positive but said she would ask. I assured her it is very easy and similar to disposable diapering. They already weigh diapers before putting them on them anyway. And the only diff is they'd have to throw them in a bag for me to wash instead of a trash. Well see. I'm not gettin my hopes up but I am excited that she entertained the idea. Well see. People
In this area are so dumb to cding. She said she's never had anyone ask before so she didn't know if they would just because they're all so inexperienced with it. You'd think they'd want a challenge and to try it to see how it works. I hate closed minded people.

So I figure that for a 2oz container of butt cream I'm probably going to charge 6$ including shipping. It cost me 2ish dollars an ounce to make it, if you include packaging. Sounds fair, right?

If you're selling 2oz and it cost $2 an oz to make and then shipping, I think you're mostly going to lose money at $6. I'd charge $8-10.

I dunno, it seems to me like 4$ an ounce is crazy expensive. I think shipping would only be like 1$ per container, since between that and the envelope it should weigh only about 4 oz. Maybe it would be better to charge 3$ an oz, plus shipping. It just sounds super expensive to me.

Think small beachnut or gerber jar. That's about the size of it. I'm not sure exactly how long it would last, it would depend on how often you were using it. This is so much to figure out

How does It cost so much to make? Is it cause of the packaging? In the future I guess you could always buy them in bulk or a cheaper price then you would make more $.

If it cost's you $4 to make 2oz though then it's going to at LEAST cost $1 to ship, probably more, you're going to come out with only pennies profit.

Just the cream/bar costs about 1.50 an ounce to make. The cream cost another 5cents an ounce because of packaging. I plan to send them out in bubble envelopes, I don't know exactly how much those cost but I'm pretty sure it's less an 1$ each. I can order them online in bulk for like 10cents each if I ever need to.

I'm worried that if I charge any more than that, though, that it'll cost too much for anyone to really be interested in buying any.

Maybe but if you're wanting to sell something, you can't shortchange yourself.

I see your point. But idk what to suggest   how much do u need? Like will the jar last awhile? If so it might be worth more $. You would have to find a way to get your supplies cheaper if u wanna keep it at $6.

Using it with my daughter, only when she has a rash, I've probably used maybe half an ounce in the last two weeks.
