Size 1. Size 2 is longer, but they both stretch soooo idk if there's a huge difference.

How many diapers did you go through with a newborn? How many did you have in your stash? And how often did you wash the first 2 months?

I changed 15-20 diapers a day, and I only had 27 newborn diapers. I was washing a lot   By a month he could fit in some OS though. If I have antoher I am going to definitely have around 40 newborns.

What do you have already? If you don't have any prefolds, I suggest getting at least half a dozen. They were by far my favorite for newborns during the day time. You can get them on cottonbabies.com for like $1 a piece. You can find covers pretty cheap. I just bought my cousin's stash and I got her two size 1 Thirsties covers for $5 shipped on Spots. The velcro was pretty pilly but meh, it's still functional.

I have twelve one size pocket diapers and twelve one size aio. but i don't think they are going to fit right away, which is why i have been thinking of buying some prefolds as well plus i feel like i don't have enough. But we are on a super tight budget so prefolds i think are going to be my best option. Im just concerned about the covers, id prefer a size.in both prefolds and covers that will last as long as possible. Are the ones for a dollar from cotton babies good prefolds? And what size do i need?

Yes, they are good prefolds   And the Thirsties size 1 covers will fit until 18ish pounds or so. I think the Rumparooz covers will fit newborns as well.

Awwe! This is in my home town. The quality is awesome and I don't have to prep them  They even drive my order to my house for free! I got a dozen of the toddler size. I'm thinking of getting a least 2 dozen of the infant size for the new baby.
