No diagram, but you can look it up on youtube depending on the brand. A lot of people think they're doing it too tight, but it's only too tight if it leaves deep marks on their skin. Red marks are totally normal with cloth diapers and they do not hurt the baby (just think like this, when you wear socks and the cuff part is a little snug, then you take the socks off, and you have a red mark on your ankle. It doesn't hurt you, but it's there because the elastic of the sock was sitting right there for an extended amount of time. Same thing with cloth diapers). You want to be able to comfortably put about 2 fingers in the back of the diaper, but still have the elastic snug. And the legs you should be able to pull out a little bit, but they too need to be nice and snug.

I just ignited it out. Luckily I didn't have a baby to try it out on so I didn't feel dumb haha. But the middle snaps that are backwards compared to the rest snap down to the bottom row of snaps.
