Alright stain fighters, help me lol.


So I have some random MF inserts that I'm keeping in case I sell a diaper and the buyer want an insert. The thing is, ALL my MF is dingy as hell from hard water. Almost all of them are gray and ugly, and I want them white. So I soaked em in oxyclean this morning then washed with bleach. It helped a lot, but they're still kind of dingy. So they're out in the sun right now and they're soaking wet from lemon juice.

What else can I do?? They've been boiled and stuff, but I want these things bright bright white. I don't have any RLR or water softener.

I have some fuzzibunz and bumgenius diapers that are dingy and stained on the inside, but very bright colors on the outside. Can I bleach them, or will it ruin the color on the outside? I can't really sun them because I live in an apartment and there's no sun on my patio EVER.

I'd wait and see how they do with sunning. I've had great results from sun and oxi

I would try sunning on the patio anyway. I read an article a while back where a girl sunned her diapers in the overcast rain and they still brightened up. I wouldn't bleach.

If you park your car in the sun, you can put the diapers on your dashboard. A windowsill would work, too.

Alright, I'll try it anyway. I try to sun them when I go to my mom's, but I don't get there until 3 and that sun is gone shortly after

Okay, I KNOW I've seen it mentioned in this thread but I can't seem to find it.

Different ways to prep prefolds? I just got some Indian cotton folds and need to prep them. Do I boil them, cold wash no soap followed by a hot wash with soap??

The only thing I can remember about prepping the folds is to dry them like 4-5 times to get them fluffy.

I would boil them since it does the work of washing and drying them multiple times
