Has anyone used the Thirsties covers? Do they suck? A woman in my area is willing to sell me a few for 5$ each, is it worth it?

Awesome. I've read the reviews online and most were good, but there were enough bad ones to make me wonder.
I figured for 5$ each, they were worth a shot.

I even had the Velcro and it stayed sticky.

Loved my thirsties cover. I'm destashing it cuz I never use it anymore lol.

I only have experience with their duo wraps, and I like them.

ARGH!!! So fiances family (who we live with) has a habit of stuffing the washer with clothing and leaving it for hours (they don't start laundry on weekdays until after 7pm because hydro is cheaper after 7) anyway once again the washer is full of crap and I wanted to wash diapers. They are out and won't be starting the machine for who knows how long so I pulled the stuff out and started the machine on a pre rinse. Turns out who ever filled the machine put soap in it when they left it and a lot of it by the looks of things. Not sure which it was, either Tide coldwater or more likely the Ecos with fabric softener... how do I fix this? Just rinse until there are no soap bubbles anymore? Do I need to strip or anything?

No I meant diaper covers....I use diaper covers and prefolds during the day and pockets as overnight diapers. But I can only trifold the prefolds cuz his butt is too big soo I wanna switch to fitteds or something so I can still use the covers

That's funny, I always did the opposite. Covers and prefolds at might cause they absorb so much. No more pockets though since he wears undies during the day

I'm so excited to get mine now, lol. I ordered some Flips, but it's going to take 2+ weeks for them to get here

Yeah I do stuff a prefold in there at night along with a hemp insert  ....if I just do a hemp insert nd a microfiber insert I will still get leaks...he's a heavy wetter

So... about inserts...

between microfiber, bamboo blend, & bamboo 3-layer. which one is the 'best'? Is there really a huge difference? I'm still kind of lost about that.

Bamboo and bamboo blend can go against the skin and MF can't. I have a few bamboo I love them. They are super absorbent.

Most people seem to like the bamboo blends the best. I stuff all our diapers with a 3 layer bamboo and hemp and we never have leaks. I've never tried the blends
