Quoting Mother of Broccoli.:" No. A little powder is fine. But you need cloth safe cream. Butt paste and Destin will make your diaper ... [snip!] ... works great to treat rashes, it's CD safe, and you can get it at most stores. And don't use powder with cream while in cloth. "
So many rules.

It really is.
I'm having a hard time getting my family on board with CDing, all the rules make it harder. My mom thinks they're too much of a hassle.

Quoting Mother of Broccoli.:" Well if the entire wipe covered the whole butt paste area, you might be safe lol. But you can always ... [snip!] ... the whole thing since I'm pretty sure you said she was in a fitted. I was livid when my mom used A+D on my favorite diaper lol."

I was more mad about how red she was from the microfiber being against her butt all night, heh.

It's really not a hassle when you get into a routine.
Definitely gets easier.

So does mine. That's why she doesn't change diapers. I do pretty much all the changes. SO started changing B when she had just turned 1, and I started cloth diapering when she was 6 months lol. I didn't ask if it was ok with them, I just bought them and everything I needed for them. We live with my parents so we help pay the water bill (and other bills) since I do more laundry than everyone else.
My mom showed no interest in using cloth for a really long time. She comments on the prints sometimes, or how big her butt is, but she's only changed her diaper maybe 3 times since we switched.

Oh I'd be pretty pissed about that, too lol. Some of our MF inserts are soft, and SO has asked if it's ok for them to go against her skin before haha.

I'm sure it will. I think it'll make a big difference once the covers I ordered get here. Right now I'm using prefolds and a pull-on cover, so I have to pin the sides and I'm afraid I'm going to stab DD because she sure is a wiggler

My grandma is all for it. I live with her, but we visit my mom a few times a week and stay the night. It looks like I'll be the only one changing her at my moms, but my grandma will help when we're at home.

They really aren't once you get it down. I only buy natural stuff to begin with, so it may be easier for me but I find cloth a lot easier than disposables.

It sucks, but I got used to it. SO changes her when he's home, but he works weird hours lol. I'm glad your grandma is for cloth though
