anyone know when the cartoon diapers are going to be ready for invoice   I should of been to bed two hours ago stupid lack of diapers and now i'm stuck washing....

hey ladies, I had a bunch of diapers that needed elastic fixed so we were not using a ton and had 2 or 3 sit in a dry pail for far too long:-((oops!) I got some of the elastic fixed and continued cloth diapering, washed them all(and added a bit of tea tree oil(any one have opinions on that?) and it all smelled good to me(but i have a cold so i cant FULLY smell) but after going in the dryer(this happens fairly often) they smell..luckily not ammonia like( in finally switched to almost al natural fiber inserts) ..just dirty like- the inserts mostly smell fine thankfully, but the pockets-fleece part smell. Any suggestions?..they did not smell at all out of the washer, i was going to try hanging them for fresh air-out but its raining, i ran them a long cycle in the dryer last night and then turned it on this morning(it always takes 2 cycles to dry fully) and i noticed that my inserts stick to themselves in the dryer so they were staying moist over night even though other diapers were getting pretty dry.
ETA: i use charlies soap(still do not know if I have hard water, but it is well water so its possible) last night I did 2 rinses cold, 2 hot washes(first with regular amount suggested(on charlies soap)., second with a quarter) then 3 rinses afterwards-there were no suds at all..im paranoid, feeling like no matter how I wash its always wrong so i try to add so many rinses to be sure im not creating build up.

I slept for smurf last night, I've had a headache since I got up at 6am, and Felicity fell back asleep in the car when we took Fiona to school.
I want to go lay down with her soooooooooooooooooooo bad.
But I have diapers in the wash, and we only have a few clean ones left so I have to stay up and finish em.
Booo.
And because she went back to sleep so early today, she's not going to sleep again until we pick Fi up from school. No nap for mama.
So sad.
Stupid diapers.

I'm decently happy.... I spent some hours handwashing diapers last night. Used Ecos (: and after just that wash alone there was like NO SMELL. And then I did a vinegar rinse, and then rinsed some more after that. But since Aurora had that bad rash, we gave in and used some diaper cream with liners, but they all moved around so some of the diapers/inserts/wipes had cream on them. I used some Dawn, and pretty much all of the cream came out. Took me forever, but it seemed to work, and there's still no smell!

ALSO, some of the Flip inserts I bought from a lady had "significant staining," like huge black marks that totally looked like meconium. And I took some Dawn to one of those, because it had the cream on it, and that freakin' stain is GONE. I'm going to have to do that to all the inserts! lol I just really hope this helps with Aurora's rash, because it already seems to be getting a bit better, finally.

And I woke up with contractions, so PLEASE let this be labor! haha

Preach it sista I was up until 3 washing diapers. I slept maybe an hour and a half this should be a fun when day.

I'm trying to not be annoyed that I have to wait even longer for the cartoon diapers. I need to hit another co op up for some more. I want to have 40 diapers as soon as possible

Anyone ever found a bug in their baby's diaper?
It's a Lygaeus kalmii (small milkweed bug). Completely harmless but still not something I don't wanna find again! I'm thinking it's because I hung the diapers outside but that was 2 days ago!

alright, ill do the dirty work*sighs* i was hoping to avoid that..but im trying a different method of striping than used before - esp since its only 3-4 diapers vrs my 15 inserts before,. thanks:-)
