Yeah, if I make myself talk quiet and slow then I start to feel more patient. It has to be something you're constantly consciously working on though, imo.

When it comes to parenting I think patience can be a choice. I can get impatient and angry or I can take a deep breath and suck it up. I like to think of myself as mostly patient but like everyone, I have my moments.

my patience has gotten a lot better with each child i have. i am 1 million times more patient than DH, but i think after having my youngest (he was born with a condition that has required a LOT of doctor visits and his frustrations), my patience has improved incredibly. just work on some techniques. a lot of it is your mindset.

I constantly fake it..... I'm the most impatient person in the world but no one can tell unless I'm stressed or excited about something.

I usually keep my mouth shut in times when patience is needed. I'll count or pray (the rosary usually) in my head. Works like a charm.

I have that issue myself. I am NOT patient at all, but I'm a freaking Patience Saint with my son.

No clue lol.

Maybe because I know the more upset I get the more upset she does. If I just relax, she relaxes and it makes my life a million times easier.

Also, there's nothing I can do to get away. She's my daughter always, no matter how impatient and frustrated I get, so it's just easier not to get that way.

I'm not very patient at all. & Sometimes it's hard to fake it in front of my son. What I do when he's testing my patience is just breathe really deep in & out & think of something else while he finishes doing whatever it is that's taking him so long, haha.

it depends on the situation and what is frustrating you. taking deep breaths, walking away for a minute to just take a break, etc. remember, a lot of things that frustrate you won't change by losing your patience. i used to lose my patience QUICK when my oldest was a baby and he would wake up early and after a night that i barely got any sleep. but what good is that going to do me? now i can wake up to get my youngest bottles all night (about 3-4 times), or stay up with him all night if he isn't feeling well, and still go into work at 5 am and not be angry or frustrated. it sucks, and i will be tired, but i did what i had to do--getting upset wouldn't help. i just try to make the best of things, even if it's a crappy situation
