DS is about 3.5 mo/12 days old (actual/adjusted) and was released from the hospital May 19th. In the past 4-5 days he has been acting strangely. He WILL NOT go to sleep at night unless there is a light on. He sleeps fine during the day.
If im on the laptop, he will sleep fine in my lap if there is no other lights on but he has to be in front of the laptop. When he is asleep during the night, he whines like he is scared and shakes/twitches really bad. Is this normal? If not, what in the world could it be?

That's normal for babies, preemie or not.

Ok.. i was just wondering..He didnt do this the first week he was home, it just started out of no where a few days ago. Do you think a night light would help?

  I am too. Terribly afraid of the dark. I didn't know what was going on, until like last night when i figured that he might be scared of the dark (i know, it took me a while)

My husband hates that I'm scared of the dark lol . I'm a chicken.
