Why doesn't this thing have a lid??

I bought this baby food storage container not realizing it didn't have a lid. My other one does. Is there something about it that makes it okay for it not to have a lid? Or have I just missed something about freezing baby food?

You freeze then pop them out and store them in a ziplock bag.

That isn't "storage"

You pop them out like ice cubes and store them in a plastic bag

I wish that would be explained on the packaging. Thanks.
