lose weight while breastfeeding?

so how mnay calories do i burn? and how would i lose weight? i know i need to eat extra calories but is it okay not to have the extra ones? i lost four pounds last week, i was 147 right before i had the baby and now im 122 so im doing decent with the weight loss so far but i'd like to lose about 10 more pounds, any advice?

how long have you been breastfeeding for? Just try to make healthy choices in what you are eating you need a minimal of 1800 calories and I actually stop losing weight if I don't eat enough. 3 meals and at least 2 to 3 snacks during the day and about 3 liters of water   I am now 5 months pp and have lost 47 lbs and i only gained 37 with my second pregnancy and I'm average weight range. I lost 55 just breastfeeding my first alone. I always have ended up smaller by the time I stop. I will lose weight for a few weeks then it will stop for a couple and then pick back up again. I have to make sure I eat enough though. And you burn around 500 calories a day ( i look as it being 1 p90x workout a day   )

Unfortunately this time around NOTHING is helping me lose weight while breastfeeding. I eat right, I "exercise" often (running up and down the stairs 10x a day I would say count) take walks, power walk/runs. I still can't lose weight.

thanks   i gained 50 pounds with my first baby and was considered obese and went from 160 (at 5"0 ) to 115 from working out and eating healthy so gaining weight has been hard on me, did you guys start working out before six weeks PP?

well i did for about a week and my supply dropped so I quit..lol Turns out it was the mini pill so I ended up quitting it and no problems now. I just go swimming from time to time and we have stairs that I go up and down a million times a day. I was going to hold off til we are almost at the 1 year mark to do the p90x. Because I know I would have to eat more if I exercise and I don't want to have to eat that quantity of food..lol

I didn't. I usually lose 30 lbs right off the bat. Just from giving birth. So I went from 210 to 175, and I've been there ever since. And I've been completely working my ass off. And still can't lose it. My goal would be to get back between the 150-160 weight which isn't really big for me but isn't really small either. I'm 5'6 So yeah. But almost 6 months PP and still huge.

working out can make your supply drop?

it can if you don't keep up eating enough and drinking enough. My supply drop was b/c of the birth control I didn't put 2 and 2 together at the time but I had been on the minipill for a week and I thought it was me working out. I just chose to not workout right now since I'm still losing the weight without doing all that

maybe eating too much salt or sugar? or even not enough calories? i started working out and eating healthy at 6 months PP and had 50 pounds gone by her first birthday! keep it up, even if you dont lose weight its good for your health! i saw what you're going through happen to a girl on the show i didnt knwo i was pregnant lol

I'm trying to eat less and less sugar. I've finally gotten to a place where I don't need as much caffeine which is really good because I'd have like one diet soda a day. But now I'm not doing that. I'm drinking as much water as I can. Eating less sugar(which isn't always true as I've eaten tons of sugar before and not had problems with my weight), and try to not eat as much salt.

I just think it's my age. We also introduced eating more fish and rice. Which thankfully my daughter LOVES.
