I'm part Cherokee too, how does that work just curious. I'm nowhere near full blood lol but my great grandma was.

They get all kinds of crap because the white man stole their land.  

It's just me and the 4 kids, and I pay about $423/check (every other week).

You have to live in certain parts, I know 100 percent If you can claim you are Native American in Oklahoma you get a smurfload of benifits. It's really nice. Jobs, food, health, college and homes.

I seriously miss Tricare, and the pay we used to get. Ugh.

$11/hr and $500/mo for insurance is so stressful right now. Hopefully I will get some callbacks soon!

Interesting lol. Unfortunately my great grandma passed away like ten years ago so idk that much about where her parents were from, etc. Lol the only perk I get is not getting sunburn.

Have you looked into the state's health care for you and Bug? They wont' cover Andrew because his job provides/offers it for him, but with his income you might qualify for it for the 2 of you.

You could also look into private insurance. See what it is if he only keeps her on, or only keeps you on (since you use yours more) and see what the other options for her are.

That's what I planned on doing when we get his first pay stub. I looked into getting our own insurance, but they won't cover my condition for 12 months.

With Bug only it's $165.84/mo, and with me only it would be $298.51/mo until I'm 25 then Idk. If I can just Bug on state health care it would really help.

You may not need a paystub... you can call, but they might take a letter from his employer just to verify that he works there and what his income will be, and then give them the stub later. It's worth calling and asking tomorrow... that crap always takes SO long anyway.

I had to stop doing my weekly blood draws, even though my levels aren't where they need to be just bc we can't afford to keep paying out of pocket every week I'm going twice a month if I really need to, and it's stressing me out hardcore.

Forgive me for just one minute while I be a "mom" and I remember you almost dying like it was yesterday....... you NEED to be having those blood draws damn it! ESPECIALLY if they aren't where they should be. I know it's a pain in the butt now, but Little Miss Thing needs her mom later. Don't mess around with that. Apply for assistance or let it go to collections blah blah blah, at the end of the day it's just a bill that can be paid off eventually when things get better financially. They can't get another you later.

I know, you're right. I'll get ahold of the hospital too to see what payment plan I can set up so I can pay off the debt overtime.

I seriously am just so depressed, and I feel like one huge burden on Andrew right now. I think he is just now seeing that this transition is a lot harder than he expected, and understands why I was smurffing bricks when it got close to him getting out.

Not trying to be nosy but what lab does your doctor send the blood work to? I used to work for Quest Diagnostics, they have a very nice financial assistance program. If your doctors office does the draw and sends to the lab as bill patient, you'll get a bill maybe a few weeks later. When you get the bill, call the customer service number and tell them you have no insurance and you need the financial assistance application. They'll go by family size and income. You may qualify for a discount between 25%-100%. If you can't use them, ask whatever lab that bills you if they have a similar program. You never know until you ask, they don't usually advertise the info.

Let them bill you until they turn blue in the face. They'll keep sending the bills, and all you have to do is call them and tell them you want to set up a payment arrangement (preferably with the first bill - especially if you're current now - so they don't think you're going to owe $10 billion and the payments are small) and let them keep adding to your account. As long as you're making your arranged payments, they shouldn't have a problem.

Changes like that are always hard, but you have to remember things eventually calm down and even out... the transition is the hardest.

You aren't a burden to him. You both bring your "crap" to the table, along with your strengths, and you're in it together. There will always be some bad days, and there were always be some good days... you just have to hang on for the ride.  

Off topic - she's SO BIG I almost didn't recognize her in your picture!   makes me sad and she isn't even mine. lol
