No, it's not my body so it's not mine to drastically change.

No.
Well I didn't actually have an opinion either way. When my son was born I asked his dad what he thought and hes anti. He has a penis not me so that was that. It's hard and expensive to find a Dr to do it where I live anyways.

No, not my body not my choice. Dh on the other hand wants any future boys circ'd I don't think he realizes that our insurance won't cover it and I'll ultimately get my way coz it's truly cosmetic.

We planned on Circ'ing our son, but he isnt able to be circ'd. I'm happy about that since I wasn't fully on board with the idea.

I'm not for circumcising an infant.
I am not against circumcision on a consenting adult, or on a child when medically necessary.

No, it's not medically necessary. I didn't put my boys through pain when it's a purely cosmetic procedure. They can have it done when they get older if they decide they want it done. Body modification should be your own choice, not someone elses.

In Australia current stats are sitting at about 11% circing and most of those are religious,

I edited my post because I don't remember the exact stats, but its interesting to realize that the majority of the world isn't circumcised, it's just the majority of the U.S

You're right but the tides are even changing in the U.S. where half or more infants are kept intact. Of course some areas have higher rates than others but it's all dropping. I'm happy to see it because it's so harmful and unnecessary. I wish I'd known when my oldest son was born but now I do and not only is my youngest intact, any future brothers or sisters he has will be too!

We didn't with either of our boys and they are 8 and 5 now and have never had an issue with their "man" parts. My husband is also not "cut" and I have never had any type of infection from him being unclean. The whole thought of an "uncut" man being dirty is a falsehood, it's any ones personal hygiene that can lead to infection.

No. Thought about it for a bit because SO had to get a circumcision due to phymosis but it's not genetic so I didn't. Wasn't going to chop off bits of my baby that I didn't need to.
