Actually they might. If it was the wrong order most places will refund your money or bring out the correct order & pick up the order that was wrong.

I have worked for pizza hut and another one. They never sent someone out to pickup a pizza. Maybe to give someone a new one

My sister worked at pizza hut & they would send someone out to pick up an order if it was wrong & refund the money if they didn't want the correct pizza. I guess every manager works differently.

I know at some places they will send the driver out with a new, corrected order and have you keep the old pizza. They once sent over a pizza and they had a few pepperonis on it. Im a hardcore vegetarian and I will NOT eat that. They said "can you pick it off?" I said "Hell no, that still has grease from the meat on it, and thats not what I ordered." They sent out a new order and had us keep the old pizza.

But most places don't do the "pizza is free if it's late" here, because of weather. I don't know if it's because Colorado can seriously suck ass, but they want their drivers to be safe. So they say it's an estimate but they can't control the weather and would rather their drivers be safe than be there on time. Once the driver was super late and it was snowing, so they tossed in free cheese bread. They were just slammed and were super apologetic. We were understanding and gave an extra tip and understood. Again, this is Colorado and it snows here and can have smurffy rain (the rain had us scared the other day) so yeah... it may depend on location.

oh Haaaaay!

people with attitudes like this make me sick. yea he should have double checked but you have no idea the kind of day that person has had. for all you know it could be a busy day, maybe someone didn't show for their shift?

have you ever worked at all OP and not babysitting but a job where you deal with customers all day. try to sympathize. i honestly can't believe you'd try to get someone to loose their job.

It's true. I've worked in Food service a long time and the things I've heard/seen people do. I've never done anything myself but I do remember a co worker had a lady yell at him in front of the entire resteraunt that her biscut was too dry and call him names, like stupid, and tell him his job was meant for retards. well he went to get her a new biscut and spit all over it. that lady ate it like it was the best thing sshe'd eaten ever!
I'm never rude to people behind the counter (unless its really there fault for a fact)

Quoting ĸalana ♥ 7/29.:"     I'm so upset right now. I did call and gave them my name but my boyfriend didn't get the idiot's ... [snip!] ... should I request a free pizza or a refund? I just wanted to get the guy fired and didnt really think to ask for my money back"

Wait, I didn't see this before. You want to get him FIRED? Wait, that's just... wrong.

I am a vegetarian and there are MANY times where people don't want to actually take the time to make something that usually comes with meat, without meat. Or they do it wrong, and just remove the meat off something and it leaves bits of meat on something they made. I can't stand that smurf. I can tell you horror stories of people telling me "Yes I assure you, your food won't have meat on it" and it does. Or looking at a cheeseburger modified sandwich and lifting the cheese, and seeing bits of meat stuck to the cheese. That is pure laziness. But that still doesn't deserve to get someone fired, and what happened to you was a mistake. What happens to me is laziness... yours was a damn mistake. You are acting entitled! Seriously, I get you are hungry, but call in and get it fixed or get a refund. Call in nicely and explain the situation and they will be more than happy to help you out.

But I will tell you this, if you call in raging wanting to get people fired over an accident... well that's the kind of thing you see on the news where someone spits in your food.

Just sayin.

i work at dominos. I'd probably get FIRED if I ASKED a customer for a tip, how smurfing RUDE!   We deliver to people who are known to not tip with a smile on our faces. You should have called and asked them to replace your food.

Not dominos...its a driver safety thing (She didn't say it was from dominos, but I'm just saying for us) corporate policy says its just a time estimation, we don't have the 'its free after 30 minutes' thing so that drivers don't get into accidents trying to get there on time. My boss would replace the food or put a credit for a free pizza next time... and the customer always gets to keep the smurf up. we can't take it back anyways, so we have the customer keep it. If they insist we take it back its tossed.

If the drink is on the order its his fault, he forgot it. We have to pick up the drinks from the cooler on our way out the door.
