Everytime a dentist has put in "dissolving" stitches, they never dissolve
I had some placed on tueday June 5th, and there is no hint of them dissolving.
Last time, I just pulled them out myself after 14 days.
They are so annoying.
When is the earliest I could pull them out myself? (no I cannot call the dentist becasue it was the dental ER, and I don't have a regular dentist to ask)
When I got my wisdom teeth out they were suppose to dissolve, never did, ended up with a nasty infection. Nothing nastier then every time you chew you're mouth tastes like rotting nastiness.
I had to go back and he had to pull them out. ( It was over 3 weeks.)
Oh I wouldn't pull them out if they are in your mouth-you are asking for an infection .At least go to your regular doc and ask him to do it. Seriously mouths are full of bacteria. But I do agree disolving stitches are bullsmurf.
Ugh I know that feeling! I also went to an emergency dental clinic and had a tooth removed. I pulled my own out after they began untying in my mouth 2 weeks after they were put in! I was eating and one of the knots unravelled and then kept getting caught on my tooth when I talked. I got frustrated throughout the day as it was pulling on my healing gum and was quite painful. Somehow I managed to untie the last of the knots with my tongue on the inside of my cheek and then pulled the end out with tweezers. I continued with the saltwater gargle and I didn't get any infections but I was still on the amoxicillin at the time too.
