hi i agree with you i get so peeded off when people bad mouth certain breeds! firstly its not the breed its how they are raised, its idiots that think they are bad arsed( excuse the swearing) that give the breed a bad name and i think they should be put down not the dog!! I've had loads of different breeds around my children most where old when they are born and my children have all ways pulled their ears been near them when they eat etc and I can tell you they protected them more than anything......... it takes a loving but firm owner to bring a dog up calm and that. right rant over lol has for what you say in your post yes my malamute is exactly the same and lays down by me when i get bh and all ways want to be by me and since finding out im expecting again hes been really protective over me

So, I have some ?s about pitbulls.. Ive never been around them so Im going off of what Ive heard and Im hoping you will clear it up for me.
1. Arent they naturally aggressive? Like, lets say my kid is playing in the yard and the neighbors pitbull is out there. What if my 2 year old is a little wild and makes the dog nervous... do ALL pitbill go for the throat or is it just the ones trained to fight? OF COURSE I would never let my kids hurt a dog on purpose, but we all know kids.

2. How are pitbulls when it comes to other dogs? Are they aggressive or are they friendly until an Alpha male position is claimed among them? I have a Golden Retreiver and my neighbor has a pitbull.... my Dog always claims the Alpha Male when around other dogs.

3. IF an attack was to happen, dog.. kid.. adult.. anything... how are we to handle the situation?

We are talking about an airforce pitbull

My pit/mastiffes will not leave my side, my female is possesive of me.
Also I don't know why you are so defensive, and I hope if and when you do come across someone who doesn't like pits, you educate them rather than telling them to gtfo

1. no dogs are naturally agressive, theyre not aggressive when pups. its how they are raised/treated by the owners.
2. they are like any other dog it depends how they are raised as to how they are with other dogs.
3. you would handle the situation how you would with any other dog attack.

me and my dog got attacked by 2 staffys while i was walking him, but not all staffys are aggressive mine most certainly isnt, i mean hes scared of flies! any dog can be aggressive. btw i handled the situation by picking my dog up quickly and running into my house which was luckily close.
