Medical marijuana/DHS!?

This woman had her babies taken away due to having her medical card(legal here in Oregon) she was taking THC tincture(not smoking) while pregnant to keep from becoming malnourished. She had medical problems from the start and its the only thing that made her feel better and kept her from getting really sick during pregnancy...

Wth... I am not into weed myself but this is smurfed up. The babies were all fine and everything. My friend knows this chick personally and KNOWS she was into attachment parenting and loved her kids...


DHS really pisses me off. Take the kids that need to be in the system! Not the ones that don't! This poor mom.. D:

Nope, not fair at all. I think MMJ and the ways you can injest it when pregnant is MUCH safer than the smurf you can take. Take a sucking candy for a headache and that is better than a smurfing tylenol, but OH NOES THATS BAD!

Stupid they shouldn't have taken them, by the time they took the baby she had it. And would no longer be doing it anymore (if it was for pregnancy) thus any "damage" was already done and the baby wouldn't be at risk...

No not fair at all. my mom has her card and me and my brother were never hurt! dumb DHS i swear you can beat your kids till they cant breathe and they ignore you but no you fart or smoke a little pot (leagally none the less) and you lose your kids!

I agree... She didn't even smoke either! Thats the saddest part!
She was ingesting it even and they took her babies...all 4 of them! Even the older children that didn't test positive for THC... HER DOCTOR told her she could take the tincture too! Wth.

God this is such horse smurf. I do NOT want to be medicated for my RA, the side effects for the drugs are sickening and I cannot bring myself to do it, but I would use marijuana in a heart beat, but this is my biggest fear.
