my daughter's poops are usually.. well, messy. ever since i switched her to whole milk last week they have been a lot harder and a little more frequent. she doesn't seem to be having a problem with the milk, but she is straining a little when she poops. is this normal when switching or should i call her pedi tomorrow?

It is all the extra vitamins that her body is not used to yet but it cant hurt to ask a doctor ever.

He'll probably tell you its normal
but if it makes you feel better, call. That's what we pay them for, afterall.
Your LO's 'dirty diapers' won't be soft/messy forever! Eventually her digestive system is going to be more mature -- your stools aren't always 'soft' or 'messy', are they?
she's just growin up, momma

Give her a lil water to soften the stool or put water in her milk. Shes just getting use to the extra vitamins in the milk.
