not fair.

By the time my sister got the period talk was in 4th grade, and she could tell the class ALL about it. She started in 2nd grade, and had 34 C's on her hands. I was ALWAYS jealous of her boobs. And still am. She's rockin 38 DD's and all I got is some puny 38 B's.

Well that's not fair! You should tell her to share!

My little brother failed kindergarten, but it was because he was really sick that year and missed more than he was there.

Poor kid already started late because of his birthday, then got held back because of missing so much...now he's the oldest 6th grader in his school. He's going to do some skipping grades and stuff in high school though. He's a smarty pants.

Brycen will start kindergarten when he's 4.

As long as he keeps on track, we'll send him then.

I agree with the other ladies. You need to work with your child. Can you see if there is a summer program to help him get up to speed and start in 1st grade?

My daughter is 18 months old and knows her vowels and part of her alphabet already.

I got held back in 1st grade because I wasn't "mature" enough to go on to 2nd grade. Its really silly why I got held back... nothing similar to your son.. but I was short and the teacher, principal and my parents thought that I would grow and mature more with that extra year. I was very upset that all my friends got to move on and I wasn't going to.

My husband was told he had ADHD in school, but it turned out that his doctor said it wasn't that. He was bored with school - he was a very smart child. His parents told the principal that he was not going on medicine that he didn't have ADHD and the teacher had to deal with it.

Did you look into a diet plan for ADHD before medicine? Some of the medicines are so strong for little ones. I have a cousin who has ADHD but she is being treated with a diet. So far its working. Good luck to you.... I wish your son the best.

Poor girl, 2nd grade! I didn't get mine til 7th lol. I had DD's during pregnancy, now their back to just regular D's. But I definitely didn't have them in 4th grade!
lol And having big boobs sucks! You can't wear any clothes without looking like a total prostitute and that's all the guys are looking at..people just judge you way to much. If I could afford it I'd get a reduction.

It's a shame that your child will more than likely suffer in his education due to your inability to properly educate him at home. You can't rely only on your public education system to teach him what he needs.

It's obvious by this post and your others that you yourself are lacking in education. I would suggest enrolling your son in after school and summer care, so he will have the opportunity to catch up with his classmates, as well as enrolling yourself in some sort of adult literacy program so you'll be able to help him appropriately.

I'm sorry if this comes off as rude, but it is frustrating to read something like this. You can't blame it on ADHD, either...that's just a poor excuse.

Wow...  I didn't know that there were schools out there that talked to children about that sort of thing.

I mean I know of sex ed, but that doesn't usually happen til High School.
