I've never seen someone write so horribly! I'm not saying you have to learn how to spell everything but how are you going to teach a kid anything when you don't even know how to use the words he and him? I think your full of crap-just my call!

Have you looked into play therapy? It might help.

Also, you may want to talk to the school about an after-school program or a special program if he has that much trouble in school. It's their job to help him, but it's also your responsibility.

I don't see how the school could/would hold a child back if he/she didn't know their address, phone number or birthday. That seems ridiculous to me.

As for him failing kindergarten... that's sad! I think as a parent that you should have done more to help him. You say you knew but it was "too late" and you weren't able to get him caught up...

I call BS. I dont' think you took the time you should have or looked into getting help as you should have. I think him failing is YOUR fault and you're to blame.

I would see what sort of summer classes there are available to help him get caught up and see if he could still start 1st grade in the fall. You need to also spend more 1 on 1 time with him and help him yourself as well.

I knew how to do most of that before kindergarden.... I have also heard that kids who eat red dye #5, are constantly mistaken for ADHD.... You might want to look into that...
