I would say go right ahead. If you need to you can file a restraining order against him to keep him from contacting you, but I don't think you would be allowed to contact him either. As long as he has some way to contact you to be able to receive updates on the baby then I don't think there is anything wrong with it.

The baby is the one you're pregnant with now, I assume? You can do whatever you want, he has no rights until that child is born. Or at least in the states he wouldn't.
