Newborn poop *pic

So my almost 3 week old pooped twice today. They both looked like this.


It's green/brown/yellow, and it's super dry. Is it normal? TIA.

Doesn't seem normal to me. BF? FF? I would try and offer more fluids and maybe contact your pedi... Usually stools on an infant who's not on solids are runny and seedy.

it shouldnt be like that. it should be runny like diarhhea, seedy if you BF

This. Seems like the baby is dehydrated.

Not normal. Most poops should be kind of thick and runny. Usually it is a sign of constipation.

Sorry, forgot to add he's FF. We've been having trouble with him..he was in the ER yesterday. He vomited his entire bottle up 3 times yesterday. ER said he was fine :/ We're supposed to go to the pedi tomorrow. He's been super fussy today.

How do I fix it. When I went to the ER yesterday they told us we were feeding him TOO much. They told us to bring it down. 2 oz every 3-4 hours :/ We were feeding him 3 oz every 2 1/2- 3 hours. I'm worried

This sounds like milk protein allergy. You may need to ask about soy or nonallergenic formula.

No :/ I'm pretty pissed because we were just at the ER yesterday. They told us he was fine and we were overfeeding. That's why he was vomiting. I had a feeling that wasn't it.  

Holy crap I didn't realize that's what you ment when you were telling me about it. That is def not normal, you need to talk to his pedi asap.

My kids were FF and all 3 of them had BMs like that. I was told by my pedi that it was the iron in the formula but never told me what to do to fix the problem. Eventually it just worked itself out. Good luck

Can I ask why he was on soy? Soy allergies are second in line to milk allergies. Can you ask his pedi about testing him?

Maybe talk to your Pedi about a formula with no added iron and then supplementing the iron somehow else?
