News is getting me down

Hi, This is kind of a weird topic for me. The only person I have talked to about this is my husband. Maybe I am just tripping but the news lately is scaring me. There is so much anti-choice stuff going on I am worried that womens rights are going to be taken away.

I guess I should say I am the mother of three and I don't want anymore children. Physically my last pregnancy gave me diabetes and when I gave birth I had a postpartum hemorrhage. I lost enough blood to need a transfusion. I also had this happen with my first baby.
Besides that our family is about as big as it can get financially. I had a pregnancy scare a while ago that was a false alarm but before I knew that I decided to have an abortion because my body is just worn out and we can't afford anymore children. So, for the first time in my life, I actually wanted to have an abortion but ended up not needing it because it was a false alarm.

But now I am so scared of getting pregnant (I have an IUD). The more states pass these laws against abortion the more scared I get. I am afraid that if I get pregnant at some point I could be forced to have the baby that will hurt me physically to carry to term and burden my family financially.

It is making me scared to have sex with my husband which isn't helping our relationship. It makes me feel personally attacked. It makes me feel that to many people in this society my situation, my voice don't matter even in decisions over my own life. Like they don't care that keeping the child will make me sick. Or that keeping the child will burden our family when we are struggling so much right now.

I guess I just wanted to know if anyone else feels like this?

I am not worried. I do not believe our rights will be taken away! Don't worry yourself so much!

It scares me too. I am scared something will happen with my next pregnancy and I'll need to get the body out, I worry I'll freak out of on the table again.

I don't think abortion will ever be made illegal. People try, but I doubt it will ever actually happen. There are too many people in favor of it.

Even if they did make it illegal there's tons of herbal suppliments that can make you miscarry if the need was high enough.

Even a tubal isn't 100 percent, and herbal abortion rarely works passed 6-8 weeks.. I am concerned too, I have enough kids and just enough loss of faith in the government when it comes to making smart decisions. Hopefully it will never come to pass, I will probably hit menopause first but I worry for my daughters and granddaughters and so on

Not everyone can. Even if you do it has the same failure rate as the BC pill when used properly. The only difference is that the human error rate is lower. I know that if I were to become pregnant I would abort. I have an IUD currently because I can't have my tubes tied even though I am done having children.
