being induced early

... well i had to get an emergency doctor out on a house call as i couldnt move or lift my legs, and hes told me that the joint at the front of my pelvis has loosened too far, ive been put on bed/chair rest and told i may have to be induced early.... normally id be happy at not having to go the full 40 weeks, but they are talking about inducing me at the same time my LB is due to start school, obv i dont want to suffer longer than i need too, but at the same time i dont want to miss my boys 1st day at school.   why cant things be easy and straightforward?
