looks like meat chunks after birth

I had my son on 5-30 and the past day or 2 I haven't really been bleeding that much. I went to bed and checked everytime I got up to feed him and had a clean pad still. Is that normal? Then when I do bleed, it has a horrid smell to it, TMI, like rotting meat....not me, the blood. THEN I noticed a chunk of something that looked like meat on my pad. No, it is not a blood clot. Have you ladies experienced this? I never did with my 1st, but they do say every pregnancy, (and PP), is different.

sounds like you might have bits of the placenta still in there. it happens. it can cause an infection though. one of the symptoms is a bad smell. you should call your OB and see what they say.

That's what I was thinking....
You need to call your dr because that smell is not normal. You could be getting an infection if not already.

Do you have any other symptoms like fever, abdominal pain, flu-like symptoms or just not feeling well?

some sharp pains on my right side that hurts pretty bad. stomach hurts , but not like cramps. It literally feels like my insides are hurting. Thanks for the concern!
