Do you let your child wear a 2pc swim suit?

I used to be totally against it, but This year I bought my 3 year old a 2pc because she really liked it and it looks super cute on her little chubby body!!
I don't let my 6 year old wear one, but not because I don't think they are appropriate, but because she tried some one and she is a skinny little stick and the tops always look so baggy and hang weird and she has no butt so the bottoms are always slipping down (He panties have a tendency to fall too, but if I get a smaller size they are to tight)

If I had a girl she could wear a two piece at any age. But I think one pieces are cuter. lol

i would let mine. my DD is only 2 mos old though so no swimmies yet.

Yes, I really don't see an issue with it.

I see no problem with 2 pieces

Of course I do. If it isn't trashy looking.
Do people really think a perv that wants to look at little girls is going to be less inclined to go after a child in a one piece?

2 pieces are much easier for diaper changes. I don't see a problem with them. LO had a 2 piece last year and this year.

My daughter is 4 and I see no problem letting her wear a 2pc!

The suit she got now is a two piece... I don't think they are inappropriate at any age, and they are a lot easier to go to the bathroom in!!

She does know (she's only 6 months) but I think when she gets older she won't. I just don't like the look of them. I don't think they are wrong or anything, I just think it's not as cute. And they aren't very sun smart.

i believe kids should be as covered as possible in a swimsuit. more so from protection from the sun. number one reason why my daughter will not have a two piece.

Nope. I don't care what other people do, but I prefer that my LO be in a one- piece. Technically, she's owned a 2-piece, but it is the one with sleeves and covers her stomach completely. I dont see the purpose in having my daughter in a "cute" bikini that mimics adult bikinis. To each their own, but it's not something I want to do.

If it is the middle of the day and very sunny I prefer a one piece because I do not want her stomach to burn. However I took dd to the splash pad late in the day and I took her in her two piece, but we also weren't there as long as we would have been if we were swimming somewhere.

yes, I don't have a problem with it.
Here in Austria, it's actually very common for little girls to go in just bikini bottoms, up to about age 4 or so .. but a lot of women go topless too. Nudity isn't seen as such as big deal here. They have co-ed naked saunas, etc. (I don't go in those though, but DH does)
I prefer pools and indoor places, but even outside, there is sunscreen and sun umbrellas and we aren't as close to the equator as some places, so the sun isn't as strong.
