Clomid and ovulation.

For those of you have taken Clomid days 5-9, what day would you normally ovulate?

I didn't use OPK's last cycle and went off CM and I figured I ovulated around CD 16 or 18. The cycle before that I got a positive OPK on CD17. My first round of Clomid I got a positive on CD13! I am currently on round 4 of 100mg and on CD11. First 2 rounds were 50mg.

Also, any of you get cramps and slight pains in your lower stomach while still taking your pills? I noticed this mostly on day 4 and 5 of my pills.

I always had cramps when I O'd.

Let's see.....

Round 1, 50mg, days 3-7: CD15
Round 2, 50mg, days 3-7: CD14
Round 3, 50mg, days 3-7: CD12
Round 4, 100mg, days 3-7: didn't ovulate or use OPK's
Round 5, 100mg, days 3-7: didn't ovulate at all.
Round 6, 150mg, days 5-9: CD16 & we conceived on St. Patty's Day!

I took Clomid for 6 months when TTC with my 2nd child. I think it got up to 100 mg but not sure. I would ovulate on or around day 18 or 19. I also took prometrium for the added hormones. I finally got pregnant on the last month. I don't think I really had cramps but I did have sharp pains on my right side when it got close to ovulating.

The first time I took Clomid last year I didn't use OPKs. I conceived on my third cycle of 100mg. Two cycles of 50mg, then 100mg cycle. I ended up miscarrying though. Only because my progesterone levels were low

This time around this year I did use OPKs...
First round 50 mg, CD 17/18
Second round 100 mg, CD 17/18

After that I decided to take a break from fertility meds. I actually Oed on CD 14 and then use progesterone cream inserted vaginally from the day after I Oed. I got my first positive 10dpo  

Not exactly sure why I Oed earlier without the meds because I never did before. I almost always Oed around CD 17/18. Which is pretty late in a cycle to conceive because your lining is already getting ready to shed by the time implantation would take place. Kwim??

And I always cramped and had a lot of discharged when I Oed.

That's so weird you didn't ovulate on 100mg but you did on both rounds of 50mg... How does that work? lol. I am CD11 today and today is the first time we've had sex this cycle, I don't see how we've missed it the past 2 cycles I seriously feel like we should be having sex every day, just in case! haha.

I'm not using OPK's again this cycle, so I hope I can catch it this time.

The cramps I get while taking my pills is like a pressure in my left side, not really a cramp but a slight achy pressure... and it's always on day 4 and 5 of my pills. I don't know if it's my ovaries preparing to work overtime or what, haha!

The month we conceived I think we BD'd on CD12... CD13 & then CD16 (the day we ovulated). Before I was doing it like every day lol

We BDed the four days leading up to O and that was it. Lol.

I truly like gave up the last round basically... I remember saying "Well I feel cramps so let's have sex" & that was on St. Patrick's Day, CD16, the day we actually conceived! lol I had a brand new box of preseed & didn't even get to use it lol

I really didn't think this was going to be the cycle. So yeah, I had kind of given up hope and was already planning on my method of attack for next cycle.

Yep, I was prepared to have to switch OB's to the fertility clinic & put out hundreds of dollars.... thank God we got pregnant!

I was done with the stress after only a few months of the fertility clinic and was ready to forgo it alone. I actually did this past cycle and bam

I guess because we were giving our faith to him. In a way, anyway. Lol.
