Early days

Hi all, im a first time mum, only 7 weeks and 5 days gone, very excited atm as is my husband. Just wondering if anyone has any advice for me at all while in the early stages??

Stay active even when you don't feel like it.

Sleeeeep. As much as you can. I thought it was hard to sleep when I was pregnant, but once the baby was here and keeping us awake at all hours I was desperatly craving sleep!

Thank you very much for replying, im already finding sleep is hard especially as its only early days i would have thought it wouldnt kick in until a little later, im always feeling exhausted. Any advice for how to stay active but at the same time get plenty of sleep? Seeing as when little one is here i doubt i will be getting much. Haha. And thanks for the congrats. x

DRINK TONS AND TONS OF WATER! If you feel thirsty you are already dehydrated.  

Oh and keep up your iron, I got pretty anemic and it makes you feel like smurf. Also as baby gets bigger eat frequently, low blood sugars can be a bitch

Thank you, i find i get dizzy and faint if i dont keep drinking water constantly all day, is that normal?x

Is it safe to have sex with my husband in these early days?

Yeap, totally safe unless the doc says otherwise. I had bleeding after sex at 34 weeks so we had to stop, that really sucked

i slept with my husband last saturday and had a tiny bit of blood, my mate reckons i should wait until i am further along to have sex again.xxxx

Talk to your doc about your blood sugar problems. I had so many problems with low blood sugar ever since I was a young girl and pregnancy made it worse for me. I had to drink the nasty sugar drinks and do the blood test 3 times.

that happened to me too around 13 weeks. my doctor said it was because your cervix was irritated from sex. but it was only a spot of blood on the toilet paper when i wiped.
