re: Circumcised and not circumcised

I have a son that is almost 8 yrs. old and he was circumsized a day after he was born. I now have a stepson from my hubby that is 5 yrs. old and he's not circumcized. In his culture they rarely do it I guess. I basically circumcized my son at the time because I was pressured by everyone else to go for it. It is really about a matter of opinon. People say that having it done prevents std's from getting worse, but then my dr. said that nowadays it's done just because of cosmetic reasons than anything else. And also, some insurances don't cover it like they used to. I do agree that a circumcized one looks a lil better but it doesn't make the man more or less of a person so it's really up to you. I just plan on telling them that they shouldn't be ashamed with what they have. We all are the same and different in some ways. I'm having a girl this year so I guess it spares me this debate again. lol I hope everything works out for you!
