34 week preemie?

IF you had a 34 weeker how long was he/she in the NICU for?

A friend of mine had a 34 weeker.. And she didn't need to go to NICU

I had a 35 week baby and she didn't have to go at all, she didn't even get jaundiced like my 36 weeker did. So a 34 weeker probably wouldn't have to go for long, if at all... I hope your baby stays in til at least 37 weeks, though.

My 2nd was born at 34 weeks 3 days and she had to stay in the NICU for 2 1/2 days. We went home when she was 4 days old.

me too! i've been having horrible back pain today and some random mild contractions, which im on medication for so i shouldn't be getting them, I called my dr and he said it was normal. Im hoping to god i make it to 37 weeks at least. I don't want my child in the NICU. and I don't want another preemie!

my sister had her twins in between 34 and 35 weeks. one was good to go home when she did, and the other stayed in NICU for an extra week or two, but that was only because his bowels were twisted up inside his little body   depending on the baby's overall health, NICU shouldn't be a huge fear at 34wks.

my 34wk daughter was in for about 2wks(give or take a day or 2) & would have been there less time if the stupid nurses would have realized that she was having trouble breathing because they did not clean her nose out completely when she was born! now she has sinus problems thanks to stupid nurses. but it really depends on the baby. i had 32wks that were in for over a month & then my last 32wker was only in for 10days. so its all up to the baby!

I just had a 34.5 weeker. So far she's been in the NICU for about a week and a half. No word on when she plans to be released but so far she's been doing really good.

My son was born 33 weeks and 4 days and he was only in the nicu for 11 days

my 3rd baby boy was born at 34 weeks and he had to stay in NICU for almost 3 weeks. he was 4 or 5 days old before we could even hold him. it gets very stressful and exhausting have a child in the hospital, no matter what they are there for. every baby is different and may have more needs than what other babies may need. he is now almost 3 months old and doing great!! I pray you and your baby will be just fine if you go early.

I know how stressful it is my first child was born at 26 weeks i didn't get to hold her until she was a month old and she didn't come home for three months. It is vert stressful and scary. Thank you! I had a scare but doctor thinks i will make it to at least term   im pretty happy about that, i don't want to see another baby in a nicu ever

Did you always get back pain? I thought back pain is normal? Or does it depend on how bad?

back pain? i only had back pain during labor? but i didn't say anything about back pain

my daughter was born at 34weeks and only had to be in there for a day.(:
