19 & Pregnant... Can I do it?

Hello lovely ladies!
My name is Amanda. I am 19 years old and I am 10 weeks pregnant. I have the loving support of my boyfriend and my best friend, and I know that my family will come around if I decide to keep my baby, however I am still struggling with the idea of keeping my child. Everyone says that I am still too young, that I am giving up my life. I guess what I am looking for is some support from all of you strong young women who have had a child so young. I dont' want to terminate my pregnancy, I want to have this baby.

you can do it. im 18 && still in high school. im graduating this year. its a challenge but im getting through it && im a single teen mom. its hard but you can do it. im here if you need anything or someone to talk to. =]

You can do it. Don't listen to other people telling you that you can't, they aren't you and don't know what you are capable of doing!

Welcome and good luck! You can totally do this. I'm 24 and I questioned having my baby every day that I was pregnant. Now that she is here, I couldnt have it any other way.

you wanting the baby is all the answer you need!! I assure you that as long as you have love and patience you can do it. It will not be easy all the time, but having a child can enrich your life in ways you never dreamt possible!! Good luck girl!!

You're 19, not 14. You can definitely do it.

you can do it hon! trust me, somewhere inside you find the strength, will it be hard HELL YEAH! I was a teen mom, and know first hand how hard it was! ooo dont terminate, you will regret it! if you decide not to keep it, (which is a personal decision) just do adoption there are SOOO many people out there that cant have any or anymore children like me... please do that before even considering termination... good luck to you hon!

hey im 18 and of course you can doo it i have one child and another on o the way do you have a job and are you liveing at home or do you have your own place i have my own place with my bofriend i thought i would never be able to have a child and take care of it but its the most amazing thing you could go thru people tell you your lifes over but its just a whole new part ... haveing a child is the worlds largest gift to you !!! well good luck and i hopeeverything goes well for you

Oh you can do it. My cousin is 19 and just had her second baby! At first the family thought she was making a huge mistake. We allhoped she would give first the baby up for adoption. But she kept it and is doing very well.

I was 16 when I had my first. I was lucky my mom was a person who supported my decision to keep the baby. I however had a lot of people telling me that this baby was going to ruin me. I didn't care, the life inside of me was so much important then my life. You can still have a career. 2 babies and a pregnancy later I am finishing my grade 10 at a college and will do my grade 12 next year. I know there are alot moer people on here who finished school themselves while pregnant and 16, but I chose to have the time with my daughter, then son, before I went back to school. I think that if you have doubts yourself then maybe you have to consider what is the right decision for you. But if you want this baby it doesn't matter what anyone thinks. You can do it. Many do! And you aren't giving up your life, your life just changes it's meaning!

Sure you can. Lot's of women do it with less support then you have.

My mother successfully raised 5 children... all by herself. Don't let other people bring you down, just because they are incapable of doing it doesn't mean you are! Good luck to you
