Need Advice

Hi everyone. I just want to start by saying that I have not suffered a loss of a child(thank goodness), but my heart truly goes out to those of you who have. That being said, I figured this might be the best place to get advice on this question. My best friend suffered an unexplained miscarriage almost 3 yrs ago. We didnt really know eachother then but a month or two later, i went to her for a prenatal massage (shes a RMT). We instantly hit it off and have been best friends since. She was even in the L&D room with my husband and I as she specializes in L&D support therapy. Since then, she has had MANY silent miscarriages. She has been to fertility specialists like crazy and had so many different tests that all point to unexplained infertility. It is heartbreaking to say the least. I've seen her go from being SOO happy with a positive test(or 10) to completely devastated just a couple days later way to many times. The reason I posted here, is that my husband and I are TTC again and I am scared to death for the day i might have to tell her that I am expecting. She has told me over and over to please just be honest and tell her in private(not with a group of friends). I 100% will respect those wishes, I just dont know how to go about it. Do you have any suggestions? I love her so much and my heart aches for her. I know it will likely be really hard for her, but I don't want it to change things between us and if shes up to it, I really want her to be with me again. Thanks for any help and sorry this was so long  

Just respect her wishes. It will be very hard for her more than likely. She may cry or wait till she's alone to cry, or she may be very happy for you and thrilled. It's all goin to depend on her reaction though, good luck!

One of my friends moms had 15 miscarriages before discovering she had a rare autoimmune disorder where her body would treat the fetus as a threat to the body...she took immune suppressants and was able to have 2 children afterwards with no issues...maybe she could get tested?
