first PP Period while EBF? when did you get yours?

posted 8th Jun '12
I read online that if you are EBF that you sometimes don't get your PP period until sometime 12+ months. The only reason I looked it up because I haven't got mine yet.
I am 7weeks postpartum.
I am EBF.
I am on Nora Be birth control. (which I guess causes irregular periods anyways)

SO just wondering if it is true that sometimes you wont get first PP period until later.

2 months pp for me and none so far. I thought invaded but my Dr said it more than likely wasn't because it was too light. Just more delayed bleeding.

I'm 3 months pp and still haven't gotten my period. I'm hoping it doesn't show up for a while.

Exactly one year. If you get it back before 6 months, you should probably be breastfeeding more. I think 8-12 months is about average.

I'm 9 weeks pp no period for me. I didn't get one with my son until I stopped breast feeding at 11 months and then it was very liht the first year.

how do you figure that? I breastfed my daughter on demand ( about every hour-2 hours) and my cycle came back right after pp bleeding at 8 weeks. I think it just depends on our body.

I agree with this. My son was exclusively breastfed for the first 3 months (I swear he was permanently attached to my boob), and my cycle started up around a month after my pp bleeding stopped.
