re: Looking for due buddies around January 9th 2009

Hello ladies!!! I am so happy to join you! My BF and Igot a positive home pregnancy test about a week and a half ago. I went to the doctor to just to make sure and she confirmed it and gave me a due date of January 7th!!! We are thrilled. I have a five year old son from a previous relationship and my BF and I are beyond excited add our own little one to our beautiful little blended family! We have our first u/s on the 19th. I have been nervous like the rest of you, its soooo hard not to be but I just keep telling myself to have faith and everything will be okay. We're waiting until the first trimester is over before telling anyone, so I am very excited to be able t ocome here and share with you fellow January mommies! Congratulations to you all!!!

I feel the same way Katie! I wish I could see something already. Not that seeing it means that everything is ok, but still it's proof that it's actually in there. I am starting to get emotional lately. But I think that also has to do with the new job I started and that I hated from the first minute! Needless to say I quit already. Better no job thana job that makes me feel horrible and causes a lot of stress to my unborn child.
I am also getting some lower back pains now but nothing too bad. And am still so tired. Not all the time, but I can feel fine and then the next minute tiredness hits me in the face, I am usually in bed by 9 pm.
Apart from the minor symptoms I have I dont feel really pregnant. Anyone else here that doesn't feel all that pregnant yet?

ME!!!!!!! LOL I feel bloated and fat at times but I still don't feel pregnant. I have some cramping and back pains also. I went to the doc and they tried to look at my baby on the untrssound but it was just a little spot, no beating heart yet. I was so worried but they assured me that everything should be ok and that that was normal. Im just praying for the best and I talk to the baby all the time. I go back on the 23rd for a complete physical and a vagina ultrasound, pray for me ladies, PLEASE!

I am not religious so I dont pray but I will definitely keep my fingers crossed for you!
Speaking about feeling bloated. I am only 6 1/2 weeks along and I am already wearing my first maternity jeans! lol My mom asked me if I am sure I am only 6 weeks! But I've had a belly for years. It's just that my lower tummy is starting to grow a bit and my own pants are starting to get really tight now. I guess I am also bloated from all the gas and stuff too lol.

8 weeks pregnant!
Ihad my 1st appointment with the midwife yesterday. It went really well and it's still the same team when I had my daughter 3.5 years ago. That was relaxing. Really pleased my BP was normal as the pill was making me borderline. I have been referred to consultant obstetrician because I need to discuss my options for diagnostic tests. I came up as a high ratio for down's syndrome and now I'm 35, I'm in the older bracket (certainly don't feel it!) so I need to check out the chances.
I've fortunately had little nausea, just feeling bloated and a bit light headed.
We ordered a new mattress on the weekend and it is being delivered today between 8:30 and 10:30. I called at 10:45 and the driver didn't haved my bed on his lorry so will be out again this afternoon between 2-4. Miffed that I'm waiting in all day for them but at least I get to rest and it looks like it's going to rain all day anyway.

Bad news. After having sex with my boyfriend last night I started bleeding. First a little brown, then it became bright red and right now I am pretty much on my period, incl. some small clots. I called an ob last night that comforted me saying that she was 99% sure that it was all innocent. But now I am still bleeding and getting the clots and minor cramps. I really feel like I am on a (fairly mild) period. I was even DUE yesterday if I hadn't been pregnant. I know we just have to wait. It could be a (upcoming) miscarriage, but I also heard a lot of stories of women who also lost blood and still had the baby inside. I can call the ob again if I start to bleed really heavily or when I get really bad cramps. Until then I have to wait for my ultrasound on Tuesday, this is killing me! I am so worried I am losing this baby!

Hey people, bad news from my side. I did end up losing the baby. I had to pee yesterday morning and peed out the placenta. So I called the OB and she sent me to the hospital for ultrasound straight away. While I was waiting for the gyn. there I had to pee again and got a bad cramp and peed out some more crap. Guess that was the baby because that was my last cramp. The ultrasound just showed an empty sack. Turned out that the embryo already died 3 weeks ago because the sack was way too small for a 8-week old according to the gyn. So this is the end of my first pregnancy. Thanks God this was just bad luck. Everything looked fine inside said my gyn. so just have to try again in a few months. I wish all of you good luck with your pregnancies. I might continue to follow you on this topic and who knows I will be back soon with my own pregnancy again!

That is really sad news.
Whenever I feel a cramp, I worry. Whenever I go to the loo, I check. The 1st trimester is making me paranoid.
