Help! Head start, 2 possible SN kids ect.

We don't qualify for Head start, but cuz of factors ( idk what that means really) But factors with Dallas being Autistic, He can go to it, But we just have him in a special needs class. But now with Jacob being eval'ed cuz they think something is wrong wi th him, Will he go into something next year now too? He will be 3 in Feb. Or will he stay with Early on if there is something wrong, Which I hope not, I think hes fine.


And since he may be SN now too, would he qualify for state aid, Since Dallas gets SSI and insurance under SSI, Myself, brian and Jacob are under my hubs work insurance. So where would Jacob go? Will our insurance even count?

Where I live early intervention school starts around 3. So I think if he is evaluated and qualifies he should be able to go. Here it is completely free (however they will contact DSHS to see if they can get some kind of reimbursement for it, but even if they don't it's free!) A lot of that is state funded no matter how much money you make. Have your dr give you a referral to have him eval'd by the school district you live in. Good luck!

Im waiting to get an APT for the Childrens Autism Center at Beaumont, And then with Early on.

Yes. If he is special needs he will get ssi and medicaid through them as well. He will also go to head start next year if his formal diagnosis is filed by then.
