My daughter was stillborn at 38 weeks. We had her cremated, then held a memorial service (after we received her urn) at our house for family and close friends.

I would have a funeral, personally. It all just depends on what level of intimacy you felt with the baby at question.
And as far as songs go, I'd play whatever felt significant to me and the baby, but that's something I can't say because I haven't experienced a loss at that level into a pregnancy.
I'm so sorry for your loss mama.

Quoting Vodka Knockers:" I would have a funeral, personally. It all just depends on what level of intimacy you felt with the baby ... [snip!] ... something I can't say because I haven't experienced a loss at that level into a pregnancy. I'm so sorry for your loss mama."
This, and also sorry for your loss. If you want to make an official goodbye with family and friends or yourself even that is just one way of doing it, otherwise you can keep it private and just hold onto the memories. There is no right or wrong thing to do.

I lost my daughter at 40 weeks last year and we had a funeral for her, it was our way of saying goodbye and make sure she had the send off up to the angels that she deserved :-) we had a horse drawn cart to take her casket to the service its was beautiful but so upsetting and the same time, I have lots of pictures of her around the house x
