Water breaks!!!

Okay so my sister in law is 30 weeks pregnant and her water broke on friday so they rushed her to hospital.....they slowed her contractions she was dilated to three cm. so on and so on.....
My questions is how long can she stay pregnant with her water being broke?
I mean doesn't the baby need some sort of prtection right?
I should know this since im pregnant with my thrid child but i just can't find any info on the this

After your water breaks they like for the baby to be born in about twelve hours or the baby can risk infection. After they broke my water my daughter stayed in for 16 hours and they had to keep her an extra day to run tests.

I have a friend and her water broke on Feb 8th, she was put on bedrest and her son was born on Feb 14th at 31 weeks gestation...so I guess they can keep it in there for a while.....I heard that they have a way to infuse more liquid into the uterus, but idk if thats true....

My first son's water broke at 31 weeks, and I remember asking the OB and the neonatologist how long. The told me that the baby can last for weeks as long as it keeps replenishing the fluid, as they did ultrasounds daily to assess the "pockets" of fluid. I was on antibiotics and some other meds to keep me safe. But I didn't last a week, I had him 4 days later. He is huge now, healthy as a horse, there are pics on my profile of him. He was in the NICU for 6 weeks. But some babies come home sooner, just depends on how well they do after birth. I wish her a lot of luck!

My hospital will do a C Section if the baby isn't out before 18 hours

I would pay her to make a few for me. My daughter has alot of hair but I am scared to put bows in it because I don't want to pull her hair.

Yeah, mom is good at stuff like that. She is never pleased with her work though   She also made my baby mum and she hated it but EVERYONE at the hospital (visitors and nurses) commented on it. One nurse kept telling her to go into business but mom is too humble.

If she changes her mind let me know   My cousin makes money during homecoming time making mums for people. She makes tons!! Let your mom know she could probably do that as well.

I feel so sorry for her cuz this is her first pregnancy and she has been seeinga specialist since the beginning and has been put on bed rest and its my brothers fisrt child too. I feel bad cuz i was going on about how my first pregnancy was great and a breeze and the i love being pregnant..... but the second and third are not so easy ten times more aches and pains lol.THANX for the info though it gave me a perspective on when the baby will arrive!!
