Personally, for us, when we first got together, we put our money together every two weeks (we got paid on the same day since we worked at the same place) paid the bills, then we decided what to do with the rest...groceries...movies..whatever. We have never really split money. He's working now, and I stay at home...so he makes the money, but we both always decide how to spend it.

My husband is not good with money. I, on the other hand, am a hoarder of money.
I take care of everything.
He signs his check over to me and gets a weekly allotment to use.
It works out perfectly for us.

Well considering I didn't work. He pretty much paid for everything

We've had a joint bank account since we moved in together.
we're married, now, though.
If I trust someone enough to move in with them, and the relationship is that serious, why not? That's my logic, anyway.

That's how we do it except he gets a biweekly allotment

We sit down and plan out the week

SO makes all the money, but we have a joint account. I just pay the bills when they are due and tell him how much we have left to spend on whatever else. When I start working, it'll be the same way, we will just have extra money to spend or save.

We make sure that our bills are paid for and have everything else we need, and then he puts 200 in savings acct. and 100 in the babies savings acct. and whatever else he wants or I we just spend it.

All of our money gets put into a common account.
We put money into our other accounts:
- Savings
- Emergency Fund
- College Fund
We pay our bills, and buy groceries.
We split up the remaining money into our personal accounts for "fun money".

Well when we moved in together, my boyfriend (at the time) paid the mortgage and I paid the bills (water, power, groceries etc.) This was kind of difficult because my SO made twice as much as me and it seemed like I always had no money and he always had everything he wanted. We each paid for anything we wanted out of our own accounts.
Now that we are married I am a stay at home mom and we share one joint account. I pay all the bills out of this account. It seems to work better because it is all "our" money.

I'm a SAHM, my SO pays for everything. If I did still work though, we'd probably split everything 50/50. Knowing him though, he'd probably save my money and just use his then give mine back. Lol he won't let me pay for anything even when I got my tax refund from last year.

We have three accounts his, hers and ours...ours pays the bills we put money in to pay all the bills. The other accounts are for what is left over after we put our certain amount in the mutual account. I do have to watch all the accounts due to my hubby being sick and sometimes when he is having a MS relapse it messes with his memory so he does not remember what he does with his money...which is why I have my own account.

We've shared our money since we got a place together. Now i'm pregnant and am not working so he is in charge of making the money and i'm in charge of making sure everything gets paid and making grocery lists, etc

When we were first movign in together and I was working, we paid half and half on everything, our rent in our tiny apartment was 480 so we each set aside 240 for rent, than he paid power and I paid cable since they cost about the same. We never fought about money, If I had extra and wanted to go shopping I did and if he had extra and wanted to buy a video game he did. He paid for dinners out unless I offered too.
